I am originally from a small city in Poland, I moved to the United Kingdom in September 2010. I started working as a nanny with autistic twins when they were 4 years old. Over time they became my English family. It was so rewarding to see how much progress they made and to be part of their life and journey. That experience changed my own life forever, and I wanted to help others!
In January 2013 I decided it was time for a change and to gain more experience and so I moved from Norfolk to Lowestoft in Suffolk.
I worked in a variety of roles in different care settings, including supported living with adults with behaviours that may challenge. Whilst working with adults, I gained my qualifications in Health and Social Care (Diploma level 3) and progressed to a Team Leader role. This gave me the opportunity to work closely with other professionals and experience managing staff for a number of years. I then relocated to Norwich to undertake a role with twins once again and worked with them for 2 years, being responsible for planning and managing their time after school and giving guidance to other carers. After that time I took a role as a Team Leader in a residential setting and worked with mental health, learning difficulties and behaviours that may challenge before moving on to working with children in a children’s home.
At the beginning of August 2021, I came across an advert from Skybound, despite never hearing or having knowledge about ABA, I applied for a job as a Behaviour Technician and my journey began.
Learning something new every day, seeing how Applied Behaviour Analysis is changing my client’s life is truly amazing! I gained my qualification as a Registered Behaviour Technician in February 2022.
In my spare time I enjoy running, music and trying out local restaurants. I love animals so have a cat, two rabbits and a dog!
